Katie MacAlister – The Brain
I woke up out of a dream this morning. Those are always fun events, because the dream is so fresh I can take a good long look at it, and wonder just what the hell my brain was doing spinning up that particular set of images and thoughts.
This time it was a James Bondian action adventure dream–my brain gives me those sometimes as a reward for something, I’m sure–that involved things like me being dashing and daring, waiting for an RV to arrive (don’t ask), rescuing those in need…which, OK, happened to be dogs, but still, they were in danger! DANGER! And of trying to decide which towel to pack (again, don’t ask), all the while bandying with a very handsome, equally dashing and daring man (who assisted with the rescue of the dogs, and laughed with me when a ATM machine operator showed us her botched belly button piercing). It was just such a dream that led to the writing of Men in Kilts, by the way, so sometimes my brain really comes through for me.
